The most sustainable company in the world ... again! Our parent company, Schneider Electric, was just ranked #1 on TIME magazine's 2024 list. The accolade follows a #1 ranking by Corporate Knights in 2021 (and Top 10 rankings since then). Schneider has also been on CDP's Climate A List for 12 years running. Proud to be a part of the Schneider family, helping to advance its mission of bridging sustainability and progress for all. We use Schneider's technology, including its microgrid solutions and EcoStruxure software, to deliver resilient, decarbonized energy to our clients. See the link to the rankings in the comments

The "country's most ambitious clean transit effort" (per Axios) broke ground a week ago in Montgomery County, MD. That raises the question: What can other #transit agencies learn from the county's example? A new story by E&E News shares an answer from our CEO, Juan Macias: “The county has proven itself as a national leader in zero-emissions transit in part by prioritizing simultaneous procurement of both the buses and the sustainable infrastructure needed to power them.” In other words, the zero-emissions buses are the tip of the iceberg. The extensive energy infrastructure that powers them must be planned and procured in tandem. Read here 👇 https://lnkd.in/eRMf75sf

The largest transit microgrid in U.S. history just passed a major milestone. Last Friday, Montgomery County Government and AlphaStruxure broke ground on a microgrid for the Equipment Maintenance and Transit Operation Center, or EMTOC. It will be the first on the East Coast to produce green #hydrogen on-site. The #microgrid will be completed in the second half of 2025, helping the County #decarbonize its #fleet at speed and scale.

You’re looking at what Axios just called “the country’s most ambitious clean transit effort.” Together with Montgomery County Government, we broke ground last Friday on the largest transit depot #microgrid in the country and the first on the East Coast to produce green #hydrogen onsite: the Equipment Maintenance & Transit Operation Center (EMTOC) in Derwood, MD. When EMTOC is complete, it will be the second #microgrid project between AlphaStruxure and the County. Both microgrids will eventually power about 335 zero-emissions buses. Great to be a part of this *groundbreaking* groundbreaking. Full Axios story here 👇 https://lnkd.in/e7jnhVnw

Today was a groundbreaking groundbreaking. Not a typo! It’s just the best way to describe the kickoff ceremony for the largest transit depot #microgrid in the U.S. The EMTOC microgrid in Derwood, MD will eventually power 200 zero-emissions transit buses. Together with our long-term partner, Montgomery County Government, we’re deploying energy infrastructure at speed and scale. Our CEO, Juan Macias, shared the stage at today’s ceremony, alongside county, state, and federal officials.

Decarbonize, decentralize ... de-risk? More organizations are turning to #microgrids for EV charging, hydrogen production, resilience, and sustainability. The savviest among them are then de-risking the system's pricing and performance through Energy as a Service. Excellent short summary of Energy as a Service here from Philippe Bouchard during The Mobility House's tour of ACT Expo / ACT News.

The year 2023 set a "slew of records for deal size" on U.S. #infrastructure projects. Overall, nearly $200B in liquidity were deployed. So it was a big honor for AlphaStruxure to take home Proximo Infra's Deal of the Year Award in the Emerging Energy category. Our Chief People Officer & Chief of Staff, Trish Starkey, was in Nashville last week to accept the award and deliver remarks. Per Proximo Infra: AlphaStruxure has "turned a mix of emerging transition technologies from a credit challenge to a credit strength."
