It goes up in a trend line upwards with bouts of volatility that is felt intermittently, almost every few months.

When we focus on just our investments alone, it can be very painful to see the volatility. However, we should always remember to take a few steps backwards. Look at the bigger picture for each individual. There is much more to be grateful and appreciative of. For example, understanding the personal situation of the person allows us to remind them that. 1. They still have work and an income. 2. They still have emergency funds 3. Volatility can be periods of opportunity. 4. There are many things to be grateful for in life, other than wealth, which is temporary in nature. Broad markets that go down, eventually bounce up over time, even during a disaster like world war. 5. Focus on the food things.Eg health, family, relationships, friendship.
