Job Summary
To be a key member of the Logistics UK Training Team, dedicated to delivering the highest quality training services available within the transport sector. As a competent and experienced professional, you will be responsible for the delivery of statutory technical and compliance-based courses, ensuring that participants gain the necessary knowledge and skills. In addition, you will provide a comprehensive training delivery service to Logistics UK members, catering to their specific needs and requirements.
Responsibilities
To develop, deliver and quality assure Logistics UK training courses, in particular all aspects of driver compliance and vehicle technical training e.g. driver assessor, safe loading, SAFED and Driver CPC
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will support the development team to assist with training projects such as the production and maintenance of training resources, ensuring information is both relevant and accurate
Support internal and associate trainer development and contribute to the overall improvement of the Training Support Services (TSS)
Participate in product standardisation meetings to promote a continuous improvement culture within training performance and product standards
Prepare and monitor all QA reports to ensure accurate and timely completion, including NCCI reports
To assist the business unit as required and provide input into new initiatives
To aid the review and design of new course materials
To consult with stakeholders and customers to define training needs
To work closely with the Training Support Services (TSS) and Operational teams to ensure excellent customer experiences
To remain flexible and accept other responsibilities as may reasonably be required
To represent Logistics UK in a professional manner and provide memorable experiences
Requirements
Highly engaging facilitator with the ability to engage audiences via online and classroom delivery
Extensive industry knowledge and experience across all Logistics UK sectors
Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and provide SME input to existing and new product development
Proven track record in Quality Assurance technical training delivery, with a focus on training performance and product audit standards
High levels of numeracy and literacy with good attention to detail
A holder of an Award in Education and Training (Level 3) or equivalent
A holder of qualifications such as Approved Driving Instructor, NRI register for LGV trainers is required, ADI desirable
A holder of a Transport Manager CPC qualification (both Road Haulage and Passenger Operations desirable)
Confidence to deliver effective training/presentations to a varied audience
Able to demonstrate excellent customer service and understanding of tailored customer needs
Demonstrate a keen desire to develop own skills and maintain currency of existing skills and knowledge
You should possess excellent communication skills with an ability to relay information accurately and succinctly
A good working knowledge of transport legislation
An enthusiasm for personal and professional development
