Category Analyst

Retail Impact is a data-driven consultancy company that works with some of the world’s largest retailers and their supply chain base. Our end-to-end commercial offerings span from category strategy and management to assortment planning and optimization, pricing and promotions, personalization and loyalty, vendor management, and fresh category analysis. We transform our clients' grocery store operations, supply chains, and procurement processes, consistently resulting in significantly increased sales, reduced operating costs, and inventory optimization for our grocery clients.

Retail Impact is seeking a full-time Hybrid Graduate Category Analyst. This role is based in Welwyn Garden City, but is also available for remote working. The Category Analyst will work closely with the consulting team and clients to provide insights on their product assortments, pricing, and promotions. The position requires the ability to multitask, prioritize data projects, understand data systems, and have an eye for detail to produce accurate and actionable insights. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, with strong analytical skills, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.

• Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, mathematics, engineering or other related fields
• Understanding and experience of grocery retail or B2B consultations a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and comfortable using statistical software (e.g. SQL, R)
• Ability to work in a team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A self-starter with a passion for data and desire to work in a data-driven environment
