    Took part 2 times a week for 10 months in a multilingual student initiative to translate scripts from long distance adopted children through the Fondazione Rava NGO. As a group of 10 we managed to translate on average 50 posts a week, helping almost 1200 letters to be translated.

    The present study examines how lying affects memory development and source monitoring accuracy, being the unconscious mental operation performed to determine the source of a memory. It extends previous research looking at the effect of lying on source monitoring accuracy. 24 neurotypical participants were required to study a number of pictures and at a later stage had to either lie or tell the truth by denying having seen items or by describing them in detail. Participants then performed a source test in order to assess their memory for these items following several manipulations that were implemented within the experimental design, including the type of lie, and the time at which participants were tested.
    Participants’ source monitoring accuracy was found to decrease significantly more for lies (48% decrease) compared to truths (31% decrease) when tested at T1 compared to T0. Such findings have been taken to provide evidence in support of memory decay and source monitoring failures which resulted in increased confidence for counter-factual events.

Created 12 pieces of art work based on the theme ‘contrasting visual illusion to visual reality’.Enhanced problem solving and organisational skills through creative and original thinking combined with time management and planning. Raised 1400€ by auctioning 3 pieces of work.
