“I have known Alastair for over 8 years now and despite the tremendous growth that the 'Meet' company has known and despite the continuous growth in Alastair's responsibility after few promotions, he never lost touch with the reality of what a job search entails. Alastair asks the right questions to ensure he is matching candidates with the right opportunities, he also helps candidates grasp the 'heart' of what's needed for a position therefore making preparation for interviews much easier. Alastair always follows up post interview to gather and give feedback making every interview (whether successful or not) a great opportunity for learning and improving. I highly recommend Alastair for both his professional and human qualities!”

How can you ensure a successful partnership with the right tools?
Absolutely, monitoring is key, however where many fail is the monitoring is based on what 'good' looks like in their business when in fact for your partner that could fall short. Again bringing it back to the discovery at the start of the partnership it is essential to understand what metrics are used by the other, why, how, tech used and where do they want to get to. Don't assume your good is their good, and vice versa. Be curious early and you'll be positioned for success. Of course once this is established, and targets set, then review, re-reviewing and ensuring performance feedback occurs is vital. Both to keep awareness of the partnerships direction, but to also celebrate milestones together and rectify any identified shortfalls.

How can you ensure a successful partnership with the right tools?
Collaboration is key to any successful partnership, whether you are the vendor or the end client there needs to be an open channel, and comfort, to being able to share feedback, give updates and adjust and tweak milestones and goals. Goals can shift, and without efficient feedback loops this can be missed, with one party continuing to drive towards x when in fact the other now needs y. Technology only brings communication closer, if it cannot be face to face, video/email/slack/group chats etc will all facilitate real time updates and create a far more collaborative feel.

How can you ensure a successful partnership with the right tools?
No partnership can begin without extensive discovery, involving all key stakeholders, to align goals and what markers will show movement towards or achievement of this goal. Get this wrong and the partnership will fail - too many skim over discovery, feeling it's in the delivery that they win a client, but align this inaccurately and you are already set up for failure. Success is in the preparation.
