Reflecting on the adventure, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped my career. When I first joined THG, I was immediately captivated by the innovative spirit and the vibrant culture. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working in a variety of roles within the beauty division, each offering unique challenges and rewards. One of my favourite highlights was leading the rebrand of the iconic haircare brand Christophe Robin Collaborating with a talented team, we set out to breathe new life into the brand updating the vision and visual identity. This experience was not just about the creative process; it was about working alongside incredibly passionate people who inspired and challenged me every step of the way. Senior DBA at THG

I have been working for THG for over seven years now. The tremendous growth that THG has gone through has provided me with my own significant professional and personal growth. To put this in context, I always like to refer back to the very beginning of my journey. In 2016, I applied for a Computer Science placement and had my interview on the Thursday before Black Friday. When I arrived at Stables in Gadbrook Park, preparations were underway for the busiest weekend of the year for THG: boxes filled with mouth-watering pizza were being carried into the office, and there was a debate on the best location for the DJ’s setup. From that very moment, just getting a glimpse of what life at THG looked like, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Fast forward a few months to my first day at THG. After our induction tour of Gadbrook Park, all the new starters were taken back to the Stables to wait for our managers to come and collect us. When my manager arrived, after introductions, he asked if I knew what team I would be joining. I responded ‘no’ (expecting to join a development team). He went on to tell me that I would be a DBA, to which I very directly asked, ‘What’s a DBA?’. Not only did he not run when I said this, but he is still my manager to this day. As you can probably guess by now, when I joined THG, I had no previous DBA experience and knew basically nothing about databases other than what was taught during a very short university course. But throughout these years, I have learned a lot. Part of this development I owe to THG and the people with whom I have worked. I still remember our principal engineer sitting down with me on my first day and very enthusiastically introducing me to a lot of fancy terms that made little sense to me back then, such as replication and log shipping. Reflecting on my journey, I am immensely grateful for the opportunities and support I have received at THG. From the initial bewilderment of learning the ropes as a DBA to becoming confident in my role, each step has been a testament to the incredible mentorship and collaborative spirit here. The challenges I’ve faced and the successes I’ve celebrated have shaped me into the professional I am today. Jason Cooke Andrew Bickerton #20Years20Stories #WeAreTHG #THG20

    General Manager THG Poland

As THG celebrates its 20th birthday, I would like to reflect on my five-year journey at THG. I’m filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible experiences and achievements we’ve shared. One of the standout moments was our greenfield project - participating in building a new warehouse from the ground up. This monumental task wasn’t just about constructing a facility; it was about creating a seamless, efficient operation that would elevate our entire supply chain. The teamwork, dedication, and innovation displayed during this project were truly inspiring, and the impact on our logistics and customer service was profound. Equally rewarding was the opportunity to support and develop our team members. Mentoring individuals and watching them grow, advance, and achieve their career goals was immensely fulfilling. Their success stories are a testament to the dynamic, growth-oriented culture we cultivate together at THG. At THG, our commitment to teamwork and excellence was unwavering. Every day, we worked towards one common goal: delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction. By ensuring a safe, high-quality, and productive environment, we continually pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the e-commerce world. Attention to detail and relentless improvement were our keys, driving us to exceed expectations consistently. Looking back, each milestone and every small step forward was crucial. It’s these collective efforts that have made my time at THG so memorable and impactful. Here’s to the continuous pursuit of excellence and the incredible journey ahead! I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my entire team, colleagues and the entire THG management I worked with in the past 5 years. Without your support and collaboration, none of this would have been possible. The cooperation between our support teams and the operations team was instrumental in our success, highlighting the importance of unified efforts and mutual respect. To the THG management and board, thank you for creating an outstanding workplace in our region. Your vision and leadership have truly made THG a wonderful place to work. #20Years20Stories #WeAreTHG #THG20

People Director - Technology, Finance and Central Services at THG

I owe a lot to THG, professionally and personally. Who would have thought a coffee with a good friend, Max, would have turned into some of the best years of my career.   I’ve still got a lot to learn, but over the past 8-years, I’ve done more than I could have ever dreamed of when I walked into Meridian House in September 2016   I have so many fond memories from my time at THG, but I hold my first few years very close to me as they taught me a lot about work ethic, resilience, and the importance of having a solid team around you.    It wasn’t my favourite memory at the time, but looking back, the race to get to Gadbrook Park before 07:30am to get a parking space was a genuine thrill. I always managed to get a space, but this meant that I also always managed to block myself in until the early evening. It was like a game of Jenga.   Even though it meant having to stay later, it meant that I had every opportunity to finish the day with a clear schedule going into the next day. It also meant that I got to spend more time with people who have become some of my closest friends (They all had the same mentality and approach!). I will never forget the countless journeys to universities up and down the country on our graduate roadshows making sure that we hired the best graduates in those years, or the first ever Black Friday that we had our own warehouse management platform running our orders. Only to get a call to arms from Matthew Moulding asking for anyone that wasn’t trading a site to head to the warehouse to help pick and pack customer orders. During that time, I remember seeing Matthew Moulding, John Gallemore and the rest of the exec team rolling up their sleeves and getting those boxes packed – It was one of the moments that I realised I don’t work for any business, I work for one where no job wasn’t yours, if you can help – Do it.    Fast forward to today, THG is a different business but the principles that underpin everything we do are the same: work hard, keep going. It’s that pace and constant determination that has kept me here for 8 years and will hopefully keep me for many more Steph Wright Andrew Graham Konrad Hill #20Years20Stories #WeAreTHG #THG20

    Country Manager at THG

As THG celebrates its 20th birthday, I am thrilled to reflect on my incredible journey. Nearly 4 years ago, I joined THG as a marketplace executive for China, eager to make a mark. Launching a platform that generated £1M in its first year was just the beginning of an exciting adventure. Since then, I have had the privilege to take on further responsibilities, and today, I am proud to serve as the China Country Manager. Leading a talented team of nine, managing 8 figures sales in revenue, and consistently achieving double-digit growth has been a remarkable experience. THG's commitment to innovation and excellence has been the driving force behind our success. Throughout my time at THG, I have been fortunate to participate in various programs that have significantly contributed to my growth. I’ve been nominated for Employee of the Quarter, a testament to THG's supportive and dynamic work environment. Additionally, being part of the "Mycon" High-Performance Programme and completing two additional management courses have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to excel in my role. Consistency, the willingness to go the extra mile, and a passion for innovation have been key to my journey at THG. These values are deeply ingrained in the company culture and have played a crucial role in shaping my career. I am excited to continue contributing to our collective success and look forward to many more years of growth and achievement with THG. Here's to celebrating the incredible milestones we've achieved together and to the bright future that lies ahead. #20Years20Stories #WeAreTHG #THG20

Director of Creative Operations and Solutions THG Studios

For way over a decade I’ve worked at THG. We’ve had some hard times, and lots of amazing times. Times when I felt like quitting, and times where I felt on top of the world. When I joined THG we didn’t own a camera. There were no meeting rooms, the Staff technology team was 1 person, and we used staff as models - yes Dean Amery you’ve still got it! There were around 150 of us back then, and around 15 of them still work with me in THG Studios today. We’ve worked here long enough to remember the days when our entire organisation occupied a small rented office. We had meetings in a boiler room, and we all wore a THG uniform…YES! We all wore bright blue t-shirts with The Hut logo! Some of us even drove THG cars - remember those branded Toyota IQs!! The ‘Originals’ I call them. These special people, that I still work with today in THG Studios. People you trust implicitly and can rely on for support at any time, people like Rich Pickford, Nicola Yearsley, Wojciech Kropidlowski, Jason Broadhurst, Daniel Waterhouse, Sarah Field, Clare Longland, Holly Benjamin, and Michael Scott. It was great to catch up recently, and reminisce… about when the cupboard in our office became the fake tanning room ahead of the xmas party. Or the time when all staff had to form a human chain to unload hundreds of Wii consoles into the building. Or when Matt would walk about with a huge gold retro mobile phone all day. The office car park known as ‘the gravel pit’ where cars would be abandoned… There were times when the design team was asked to do some extraordinary things, for example we had to make Ben Hardcastle into an Ewok and photoshop exec headshots onto the bodies of superheroes, movie characters and more… But the best bit was undoubtably the people. The resilience that we developed over those early years, made us strong, relentless, and restless for more. We powered through, had each other’s backs. Crafted, grafted and pushed until the job was done. Never giving up. This special power we have is called JFDI. And that is why I am still here after all this time. Because where else can you see an opportunity and instantly move to change it. Our resilience and ability means we can pivot quicker, deliver faster, transform and adapt better than anyone else on the market. #20Years20Stories #WeAreTHG #THG20 Check out the pics John Gallemore Lucy Gorman Paul Bonner Matthew Moulding

Last week, Ryan Atkin, The FA's first openly gay referee joined us at THG Studios to share his coming out story 🏳️🌈 Ryan consistently advocates for LGBTQ+ equality and acceptance in football and all sports; championing authenticity by opening up conversation around breaking down barriers so that sexuality should not be a hindrance to success. A huge thank you to Ryan T A. for sharing his story, to Sam Davys MBE for organising the event, and to Greg Feehely, Executive Sponsor of the Pride Collective Network, for hosting. #PrideMonth2024 #WeAreTHG

    Assistant Brand Manager at Myprotein

20 is one of those numbers I find myself seeing everywhere. It’s said to be a number that symbolises balance and new beginnings, and aged 20, I was certainly embarking on something new, during a time that can only be described as anything but balanced! With a global pandemic wreaking havoc on my second year of uni, the saving grace was the start of my placement year at THG. That 1 year internship turned out to be a transformative time, evolving into the foundation of my career in marketing, as 4 years later, I’m still here, a proud part of the THG family at Myprotein. There are too many highlights from this time to list, but a standout has been the brand evolution project, a huge rebrand overhauling the creative identity, positioning and logo as we establish Myprotein as the world’s most empowering health movement. The 20 theme continues, as this year, after 20 months, we launched the brand evolution in the final market, completing the global rollout after working on over 70 individual launches! After endless asset creation, influencer activations and critical paths, getting the Japan site live was a definite career highlight. On top of the brand evolution, this year marks another ‘20th’ for myself, Myprotein and THG, as they move into their twentieth years. We’re celebrating Myprotein’s birthday this year with the ’20 Together’ campaign, a multi-channel activation which cumulated in our Impact Week event, which took some of our global top-tier talent on an immersive journey through the past 20 years of the brand. Think high-energy dance classes of the early noughties, to home-workouts through the pandemic years to showcasing some of our amazing high-performance partnerships with HYROX and Williams Racing as we moved into current day.  It's certainly been a busy two decades, and I’m sure THG won’t be slowing down any time soon! Excited to play my part in the next 20 years #20Years20Stories #WeAreTHG #THG20
