Meet Oscar Quintana Hernandez, Master Roaster at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, Milan, who has been a Starbucks partner for over 14 years. From front of house to master of manufacturing, mostly recently Oscar helped develop an innovative new blend of Starbucks coffee - Duetto -which is expressed through two contrasting roasts. "This is one of the highlights of my career, I truly enjoyed being able to co-create something so special and unique with the development team, and I believe both Milano Sole and Milano Luna are excellent examples of what we can achieve when we come together and collaborate." Exciting news for travelling coffee lovers! Starbucks, in partnership with SSP Group plc, has just opened what has already become the busiest store in the UK at Heathrow Terminal 5! In celebration of the new 'House of the Dragon' series, Starbucks has teamed up with Max, @warnerbros, Discovery’s streaming service to launch a brand-new menu of drinks across Spain, France and Portugal. For a limited time only, the menu includes a Targaryen Frappuccino, inspired by the latest season’s central conflict that demands ‘All Must Choose’ between #TeamBlack – the supporters of Rhaenyra Targaryen - and #TeamGreen – those who would see King Aegon II Targaryen retain the crown. Which team would you choose? #HouseOfTheDragon #HOTD #MoreThanCoffee

Starbucks EMEA reposted this
There's been a lot of commentary recently questioning if Starbucks is "losing its way" as the third place, prioritizing quick service over community connection. Has digital ordering diminished Starbucks' role at the heart of the community? I've spent this week at our 21st & Lovejoy store in Portland, Oregon, where I learned to ring up orders, make lattes, and got whipped cream all over myself. But more importantly, here's what I actually did: - I served a large ice water to a rushing bus driver with passengers waiting outside. - I gave directions to a kind elderly woman looking for a neighborhood hair salon. - I prepared countless carriers for eager hospital staff bringing coffee back to their colleagues. I made a difference. Starbucks made a difference. So, has Starbucks changed? Customers are still spending time in the store, working, reading, and connecting. Mobile ordering is part of our evolution, but it remains true to our mission of serving the community, fostering connections, and building relationships. My takeaway from this week is clear: yes, we are evolving, but we have absolutely not lost our way. A huge thanks to Sam, Shelby, and the passionate, talented team at store #428.
