About us

Since 1988 we have been recruiting managerial and professional people for organisations ranging from large multi-nationals through to small family businesses. We have also worked for very large public sector bodies, such as the NHS, through to small voluntary sector undertakings employing less that ten people. Over the three decades we have been trading, we have built up a reputation for honesty and integrity and our business model is dependent on mutual trust and respect. Whether looking for a digital services manager in Manchester or an HR Business Partner in a healthcare firm, we will have the experience and expertise to provide a world class service. Our specialist teams include, E-Commerce & Digital, Finance, HR, General Management, Buying & Merchandising, Marketing, Hospitality and Leisure amongst many others. We also provide retained executive search assignments through to temporary and locum support. For those clients not wishing to have consultant input, our in-house advertising agency can provide a full range of global advertising services, from simple media booking to full creative input. Finally, by combining these two services, we can provide a comprehensive RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) facility. Our approach for the job seeker is simple. We believe in developing long lasting relationships with our candidates, many of which we have worked with for a number of years. In fact, a large number of our candidates become clients due to the service they have received. For more information about any of our services, please contact Jason Ellis, Managing Director on 0207 432 8817.

Senior Retail and Hospitality Recruiter, Mental Health First Aider and Culture and Well-being Champion at RHR

Starting a new job often comes with a mix of emotions, one minute you are excited by the new challenge, meeting your new colleagues and getting on with carving out the next step in your career. The next, you are daunted by the prospect of having to live up to everything you said you could do in the interview and worried what your new team will make of you. Not everyone has it as easy as to know that you are almost guaranteed to a better job than your predecessor because of how truly awful they were. (**cough cough). You may have seen that there are quite a few people all around the country starting new jobs this week, who without doubt will be going through this emotional rollercoaster, so I offer my top tips to them and to you on what to do when starting a new job. Firstly, understanding your new company's culture, values, products, services, and recent news can help you hit the ground running. Go back over the company's mission and vision statements too. Plan your commute, long will it take you to get to work? Plan your route and consider alternatives in case of delays. Arriving early on your first day sets a positive tone and helps you start the day stress-free. Find out the dress code and choose your outfit accordingly. When in doubt, opt for business casual. Dressing appropriately can help you feel confident and make a good first impression. Arrive on time to demonstrate your punctuality and eagerness. Punctuality shows respect for your colleagues' time and sets a positive precedent. Greet everyone you meet with a smile and introduce yourself. Show respect and courtesy to all colleagues, regardless of their position. First impressions last, and being friendly and approachable can go a long way and help you to feel relaxed too. Don't be afraid to ask questions, especially during the initial days. Seeking clarification shows that you are engaged and eager to learn. It’s better to ask and get it right than to make mistakes due to assumptions. Building good relationships with your colleagues can make your work environment more enjoyable and collaborative. Take the initiative to introduce yourself, join team activities, and participate in social events. Set short-term goals for your first few months. These goals can be related to learning new skills, completing specific tasks, or meeting key people within the organisation. Achieving these goals will give you a sense of accomplishment and direction. While it’s important to be productive, don’t neglect your well-being. Take regular breaks to recharge and avoid burnout. A well-rested mind is more efficient and creative. Starting a new job is a significant step in your career journey. By preparing well, making a positive impression, building relationships, managing your time effectively, and continuously seeking improvement, you can navigate this transition smoothly and set a strong foundation for your success. Good luck to anyone about to start a new job! DCT

We believe that feedback from all candidates that we represent is important. It's great when someone we find a new role gives positive feedback. For us though, it's even more important that those we're still working to find a new role have the highest levels of service. That's why ask every candidate for feedback once a quarter to ensure our standards are met. Take a look at our latest candidate feedback. Well done to Daniel Cresswell-Thorn for his unwavering commitment to providing the highest levels of candidate care.
