Starting Frankland Automation has been the most rewarding and challenging journey of my career. One thing I didn’t fully anticipate was how relentless it can be – there’s never really any “time off” when you’re running your own business. Last week, for the first time in 1.5 years, I took a real break and promised the two most important people in my life that I wouldn’t work. Some clients and candidates were understandably annoyed, but we all need time to recharge! Now I’m back, feeling refreshed and ready to dive in. Naturally, I’m playing catch-up, and I’ll be responding to you all over the next few days – with 400+ emails to tackle, wish me and Emily Frankland luck! In the meantime, here are the vacancies I’m currently working on: 1) Senior BDM, Logistics Automation - Remote in the UK 2) Senior Automation Engineer - Blanchardstown, Ireland 3) Group Sales Director, Control Systems - Lyon, France 4) Controls and Software Engineer, Industrial Automation - Remote in the UK 5) Project Engineer, Industrial Automation - Northampton 6) Hydrogen Industry Sales Manager, UK&I - Remote in the UK 7) Global Product Manager, Control Systems - Remote in Northern Italy (preferably near Milan, Bergamo, Brescia) 8) Automation Specialist, Motion Control and Robotics - Toronto, Canada 9) Territory Sales Manager Northern Alberta, Drives and Motors - Edmonton, Canada 10) Regional Sales Manager Western Canada, Industrial Gearing - Vancouver, Canada 11) Business Unit Director Canada, Automation Components - Greater Toronto Area, Canada 12) Territory Manager Southcentral US, Industrial Hydraulics - Remote in the Southcentral states, USA 13) Territory Manager Midwest US, Industrial Hydraulics - Remote in the Midwest, USA Have a great week, everyone!

Headhunter in the global automation industry

For my Canadian connections. Take advantage of this one—the company has an extremely low staff turnover, and these roles come around once a decade! This role, open due to retirement, will hold complete commercial responsibility for the Canadian automation business, including business development, sales, product management, engineering, and support. Details in the comments section, and on Frankland Automation's LinkedIn and website pages.

A fantastic read if you have a spare 10 minutes! I particularly liked the below quote, mentioned on page 6, which is relevant not only in the UK market, but globally. "Also blocking the adoption of automation in the UK is the ongoing misconception that “Robots take jobs”. This is a narrative that must change as soon as possible. As previously explained, we have seen the scale of vacant job roles in the UK; with declining access to low-cost labour as well as a reduction in availability of skilled workers, it is obvious that we need to change the emphasis so that there is a general acceptance that “Robots fill vacant jobs”. Many of these vacancies fall into the dull, dirty and dangerous category, that we should be filling with automation in order to provide more fulfilling and rewarding jobs for our workforce. "

    CEO at Automate UK

As the UK prepares to go to the polls to choose the party that will govern, it is encouraging to hear that industry and manufacturing is more prominent now in the political debate than it has been for many years. At Automate UK we will continue to support our fellow industry associations and others in our network to push for a coherent industrial strategy and a permanent representation of our sector in government. We also firmly believe that automation should be at the heart of any industrial strategy and we will continue to communicate with policy makers around the topics raised in our manifesto - https://lnkd.in/eFJq5xih
