Last month, our teams from around the world celebrated Pride Month. This year our teams took part in a variety of events which were relevant and important to their region. Here are just some of the ways our teams across the world got involved: In the USA, our teams held webinars which focused on how to be a positive ally and promote inclusion in the workplace and outside. Our Australian teams got involved with art and photo competitions, while our Perù office all wore pride colours to work to show their support of the event. We also welcomed RICS DEI lead Sybil Taunton in a pan-European webinar, to talk about the importance of Pride and how best to promote allyship within the industry. Members of our London office also joined RICS at the end of June for London Pride. Colleagues from across the world also showed solidarity by attending Pride parades, knitting Pride scarves, and promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity every day. Regardless of our individual social identities, we can all grow our awareness to support the LGBTQ+ community, and ensure we're active allies all year round. Well done to our teams!

Our team in Hong Kong recently provided a full range of quantity surveying services on the Blissful Place development in Hung Hom. The 29-storey building has 24 residential floors with 13 flats on each floor, while the other five floors house a sky garden, a clubhouse and a residential care home for the elderly. The project aims to achieve “Ageing in Place”, by addressing the needs of the middle-income elderly in housing, recreation, medical and care services all under the same roof. We were involved from the early stages, providing the pre-contract estimate and then going on to deliver tender documentation, post-contract supervision and final accounts.
