The CRDB Media Contest 2024 kicked off with a dramatic launch action: as the lights dimmed and silence filled the room, Maulid Kitenge assumed the role of news anchor. The familiar melody of an old radio tune set the scene. With a flourish, the studio lights illuminated, and @maulidkitenge began to unveil the contest as if delivering breaking news. After putting in around 240 hours of hard work planning, fabricating, and printing, along with plenty of meetings and brainstorming sessions, our IMC team was super excited to showcase our latest creation at the CRDB Bank Plc Media Day on February 19th. The green-themed setup, perfectly matching CRDB's color scheme, was crafted with creativity to capture the essence of the event's theme. We decorated the main stage with an LED screen on the left, a charming library cupboard set on the right, and an LED wall in the center. In summary, we turned the whole auditorium into a studio. For an event attended by the different heavyweight media personnel such as MCL's Bakari S Machumu SNS's Fredrick Bundala , Michuzi blog's Issa Michuzi, Wasafi FM's Maulid Kitenge and many others we wanted to make sure we create a set worth of value and as we always do, we did. As the team responsible for designing and constructing the event setup, we gathered some key insights from our experience at the CRDB Bank Plc Media Day event. Here are a few takeaways: ✅Time Is Of The Essence - Two weeks before the event, our team kicked off with early planning, detailed design work, and focused construction efforts. This allowed us to create the perfect setup for the CRDB Media Day without any hiccups on the big day. ✅ Teamwork Makes The Dream Work - As the saying goes, "If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together." and as always we decided to go far. Thanks to our managers, Zena and Abdul, who kept the team cohesive throughout the event. Every member, from designers to the fabrication and content teams, collaborated closely to bring the CRDB Media Day to life. ✅ CRDB gave us a good support system– The CRDB team extended full cooperation throughout the event. Thanks to CRDB’s location and floor managers ensuring the IMC team received timely support, along with the warmth and hospitality of the CRDB team on the day of the event, creating the CRDB Media Day was a truly pleasant experience from start to finish.
