We're thrilled to share some exciting stats from our January/February 2024 festival.   First off, we hit a fantastic 270,000 film visits! That includes both in-cinema screenings and online streams (we only counted streams with a solid 90% completion rate). Additionally, we welcomed 40,000 unique visitors to the festival in Gothenburg.   Now, let's dive into the findings from our annual survey, crafted in collaboration with our Market research partner Insight Distillery:   Our hybrid festival attendees really made the most of their time, catching an average of 15.3 films each! Meanwhile, those who stuck exclusively to cinemas managed about 6.4 films on average. Makes sense, right? Moving between venues and sticking to screening times can be a bit of a challenge! 🎬   As for our online-only audience, they watched an average of 14.1 films. They're spread out across Sweden, with strong holds in major cities and university towns.   What's the big takeaway? Offering an online festival experience doesn't compete with in-person cinema visits in Gothenburg. Instead, it enriches the overall film-watching experience for our audience. Because hey, when it comes to films, more is more! And more film is always better! Heartstopper, based on the graphic novel and webcomic series of the same name created by Alice Oseman, is one of Netflix’s best-reviewed series. The story follows two teenage boys, Nick and Charlie, who cross paths at a British grammar school. Their relationship evolves into a love story, and the narrative gracefully explores the journey of coming out, young love, friendship, and the complexities of mental health. Plint delivered the Danish and Finnish dubbing for season 1 and 2, as well as Swedish, Danish, Croatian, Turkish and Portuguese subtitles for season 2 for Netflix on this wonderful show.
