Tillverkning av textiler

Return. Revive. Reduce. OnceMore® enables a circular textile system, by reimagining textile waste and closing the loop.

Om oss

Textiles deserve better than the trash. But recycling it has proven easier said than done. In fact, more than a million tonnes of textile turn to waste every year. At OnceMore® we aim to change that. We enable a circular textile system by making collaborations happen throughout the value chain – moving used fabric through a circle of returning, reviving and reducing.

Last week, our Business Developer Angeline Elfström, participated in the talk 'Delivering true circularity' at #FutureFabricExpo in London. When asked why we are not able to recycle all textile waste in Europe, Angeline responded: -We don't have a magic box where we can put all kinds of waste and produce gold. We are working step by step to broaden our technical specification, but we will not compromise on quality. Additionally, all the participants in the talk were asked to conclude the conversation with a call to action for the industry. Angeline said: -We all need to roll up our sleeves and do the work. Thanks to moderator Hilde van Duijn and the other participants Camille Herry, Hannes Schoenegger and Regina Polanco.

Summer is upon us, and in Sweden, the long-awaited summer holiday is just around the corner. We'll summarize the year so far and look ahead to what’s to come when we return from our holidays. Here are some of the highlights so far: During the year we have announced that you now can find OnceMore® in modal thanks to fiber producer Tangshan Sanyou. Another partnership that we revealed during the year is our partnership with Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto Oy (LSJH). LSJH is a Finnish municipal waste management company who are focusing on finding circulatory solutions for all household textile waste in Finland. We have been showcasing at the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen, the Future Fabric Expo in London and at Challenge The Fabric in Milan where fantastic designer ABRA competed with his design based on OnceMore® at the CTF Award 2024. We have introduced two new brands – VILA and OBJECT. VILA has produced two pieces based on OnceMore. And OBJECT made a spring collection based on OnceMore®, in the form of knitted tops which embody OBJECT’s design aesthetic - simple, effortless, and versatile. Each piece is a blend of 52% OnceMore®. Our collaboration with Lindex is also evolving. From the start in 2022 Lindex has produced over 1 million garments based on OnceMore®. In May we announced a studio collection that celebrates the Swedish midsummer. The collection celebrates both brands’ Swedish heritage with a contemporary, feminine edge, making a bold and sustainable fashion statement. Also, we’re sorry to say that our friend and colleague Angeline Elfström is leaving OnceMore® after the summer. Angeline has been with us almost from the very beginning of OnceMore® and has made a significant contribution both to the brand and the business. She was one of the driving forces behind developing the business model as it is today, and she has embodied the OnceMore® brand with her dedication and passion. We will miss her greatly and wish her all the best. We welcome Madeleine Bernhard as new Business Developer. And as for next year, we can promise some truly exciting things. Here's a sneak peek: https://lnkd.in/ddPJJhGv As we are heading off to our summer vacations, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a great summer. And also, thanking you for being a part of OnceMore’s journey towards a more sustainable textile industry. Together we will kick the habit of waste. During the vacations season, we might have slightly longer response to email and LinkedIn - but we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Say Hi to Maria Persdotter Isaksson, Industrial policy specialist within Public Affairs at Södra. Maria have been working with our policy paper regarding Dissolving pulp and OnceMore®. This policy paper will give the reader a description of our solution for more sustainable textiles, the possibilities, and the challenges we face and what policy’s we need focus on getting the policy´s working for our forest owners and businesses. Maria, what do you say to politicians who believe that more regulations are the answer to everything? - Of course, we need some regulations, but I just want to say that OnceMore is not a product developed from "more" regulations; it is about competence, people and innovation. Regulations can inhibit innovation, such as rules that are difficult to interpret, conflicting rules, etc. This creates institutional uncertainty, which in turn deters investors. So politicians, set the goals and let us create solutions to achieve them, Maria Persdotter Isaksson.

Happy Midsummer! An old Swedish tale says that if you place 7 flowers under your pillow for midsummer night then you will dream about your future love. However it is not as easy as it seems, follow these 7 steps to take part in the tradition and hopefully you will dream about your future love!     1. You must pick an uneven number of flowers (usually 7)  2. All of the flowers must be different  3. No talking, complete silence throughout the whole process  4. You must jump over a fence between each picked flower  5. Do everything backwards; walk, jump, run backwards  6. Place all 7 flowers underneath your pillow before you go to bed.  7. Now you will dream about your future love once you fall asleep!    Did you know that we are based in Sweden? We are a part of the Swedish forest industry group Södra. With our 52 000 forest owners, they are the ones who own and provide the forest and wood part of our product – we know exactly where our raw material comes from. We, Södra, our members and OnceMore are all rooted in Swedish forests.
