    🌐 Since January 2024, alongside Linda, we have actively promoted networking within the Dalian Industrial community to the Dalian DDA Government. Our efforts have led to meaningful engagements, including: ➡ April: Visit from Mr. Wang Damin, Director of the DDA Commercial Bureau. ➡ May: Connecting with DPCA. ➡ June: Establishing contact with the Chery Dalian Plant. On June 18th, we had the honor of participating in the round table conference organized by the DDA Government. This event, aligned with the upcoming Summer Davos Forum, aims to enhance government-enterprise exchanges, expand project cooperation, and foster industrial development.     🌱 Celebrating Green Day at SODECIA Safety & Mobility Dalian On March 29th, 2024, SSMDAL hosted a successful Green Day event, aligning with our commitment to sustainability. The event aimed to raise environmental awareness among employees through engaging activities: 🌍 Environmental lecture: Experts and officials discussed pressing environmental issues and green practices. 🌍 Eco-friendly quiz: Employees tested their knowledge, with prizes made from sustainable materials. 🌍 Eco-crafts: Children created art from recycled materials, promoting creativity and reuse. 🌍 Second-hand exchange: Encouraging a culture of reuse by swapping gently used items.     Ontem participei na Conferência “O País onde vais querer estar", superiormente organizada pela Associação Business Roundtable Portugal. Deixo a minha percepção. Por ano saem de Portugal entre 16.000 a 20.000 licenciados. Os dados mostram que 1 em cada 4 profissionais quer sair do país e esse número aumenta nas gerações mais novas: na geração Z são 50%. A contrabalança da imigração não se pode fazer. A entrada de muitos estrangeiros em Portugal não se equipara, na generalidade, ao nível de habilitações dos que saem. Ganhar experiência no estrangeiro não é negativo, bem pelo contrário, “dá Mundo”, potencia capacidades, faz crescer. O problema é quando não se quer ... ou não se pode ... regressar. Portugal tem (quase) tudo para ser o país onde se quer estar: beleza natural, segurança, cultura, história, gastronomia, clima, boa gente, um ambiente geral positivo. O que nos falta, pois!? Falta-nos crescimento sem o qual não há oportunidades, nem sucesso. Entre 2000 e 2023 o nosso PIB aumentou 2,5 vezes menos do que os nossos concorrentes diretos. Com isto torna-se muito difícil aumentar os salários e diminuir a carga fiscal. O rendimento líquido é um dos problemas que levam os profissionais a procurar alternativas além-fronteiras. Na Conferência foi-nos dado um exemplo impressivo: para o mesmo salário, em Portugal comparativamente com os Países Baixos, temos um custo adicional para o empregador de 10% e uma diminuição no rendimento líquido do trabalhador de 24%. Como pode isto ser sustentável? Não pode! Como é possível manter-se o peso da segurança social que encarga as empresas com 23,75% e os trabalhadores com 11%, para além da carga fiscal? Não é! O consumo de recursos públicos tem de ser muito mais transparente e responsável. Queremos um projeto nacional com regras sejam claras e transparentes. Infelizmente não tem sido assim. Não podemos com um Estado gordo, consumista, que retira à economia real recursos essenciais. O Estado precisa de dieta rigorosa, para que cuide do que é essencial,  e deixe espaço ao desenvolvimento, à prosperidade e à geração de oportunidades. Os portugueses que trabalham fora precisam de poder desenvolver os seus projetos de vida e de profissão no nosso país, com um custo de vida sustentável e uma progressão atraente. As políticas públicas têm de promover o talento, defendendo a meritocracia. Acabar com a dependência de favores, de cunhas e de compadrios com o sector público. Precisamos de sistemas de incentivos ao regresso dos melhores trabalhadores que sustentem empreendimentos de futuro, profissionais e pessoais. Enfim, o nosso país tem fatores intrínsecos que lhe podem dar competitividade e atrair o talento, mas temos de criar confiança e condições de progressão aos nossos profissionais.
