#phd | Celebrating Excellence in Our Team 🌟 Here is a quick glimpse at our most valuable asset. And it's not some super fancy gear we use in our labs. It is our skilled, capable, competent, and dedicated team, thanks to which we make a difference and achieve our goals. Today, we would like to share one of our teammates' greatest achievements. Paweł Nieradka, one of the brilliant minds in our R&D team, has successfully defended his doctoral thesis titled "Application of Monte Carlo Filtering for the correction of negative loss factors in Experimental Statistical Energy Analysis." This implementation doctorate, carried out at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, implemented at KFB Acoustics and based on a tripartite agreement showcases Paweł's dedication and hard work over the recent years. Paweł defended his dissertation on June 7th, 2024, at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and is now a proud Ph.D. holder. Congratulations, Paweł! 🎉 Your perseverance and expertise inspire us all. Here’s to many more groundbreaking achievements together! #Team #R&D #Innovation #WroclawTech #KFBacoustics #Congratulations

#Education | If your career or passion makes you wonder about the secrets of sound in space, seize this opportunity to learn. "Spatial Audio – Practical Master Guide" is the first course on the Acoucou Courseware platform in which technology meets art. The course provides an entry point into the field of spatial audio content creation for a person who has basic knowledge on audio production but is not necessarily a dedicated expert in the underlying technologies and aesthetics. "Spatial Audio – Practical Master Guide" is a consortium of 5 partners: KFB Acoustics, Chalmers University of Technology, DELTA Soundworks, Szkoła Filmowa w Łodzi (PWSFTviT), and Jazzy Innovations In the meantime, we are sharing with you the first case study, "Live Music Performance with Spatial Audio", carried out in collaboration with the Krakow Film Music Festival (FMF) and Skoła Filmowa w Łodzi (PWSFTviT). In this case study, we aim to showcase the behind-the-scenes of a live music concert designed as an immersive experience with spatial audio. We strive to present both the technical and artistic perspectives, illustrating how they intertwine to provide the best experience for the audience. On this occasion, we would like to express special thanks to all the artists and professionals involved in the case study: Gary Marlowe, Hans-Martin Buff, The Fantastic Laura B, Mirjam Skal, Maciej Błachnio, Hear Candy Mastering, Yamaha Corporation and NEXO

#VibrationAnalysis | What you see here is not just a tumultus colorum but an effect of experimental modal analysis on a car wheel – one of the components of the vibration transmission path. 🚗🔍 The vibration of the wheel here is excited by white noise coming from an omnidirectional speaker and tested with non-invasive 3D vibrometer. The aim of experimental modal analysis is to determine both the natural frequencies and their forms. The process allows for a deeper understanding of structural vibrations of components, validation of simulation models and product optimization. Having wheel's modal properties on a dispaly with resonant frequencies and critical modes of vibration, engineers can design and optimize products subjected to extreme dynamic loads. Thanks to the correlation of excitation and modal properties, manufacturers can provide the required vibroacoustic properties that allow safety and comfort for all passengers #Engineering #AutomotiveDesign #ModalAnalysis #Vibration #Innovation 🛠️🔊

🌐 Today, April 25, marks International Noise Awareness Day, gathering our attention to the pervasive presence of noise in our lives and its detrimental effects. Established in 1995 by the League of the Hard of Hearing this day serves as a global call to action. Noise pollution isn't merely an inconvenience; it's a threat to our well-being and the environment. From disrupting natural habitats to affecting human health, its impact is profound. The repercussions extend beyond annoyance; prolonged exposure to noise can lead to sleep disturbances, cognitive impairment, and even cardiovascular issues. As cities expand and human activity intensifies, so does the cacophony around us. It's imperative to address this escalating issue through a combination of technical innovations, urban planning strategies, and legal frameworks. Now we, as a community of experts in the matter, believe that the first step to overcome a challenge is education. That is why we would like to introduce you to Acoustic Course for Industry (ACI). It is a free course offering an insight into Acoustics. It focuses on presenting the subjects of Industrial Acoustics, and also lets you understand the impact of the noise on human health and the environment. ACI is a source of knowledge for both students and qualified specialists but it is also a modern tool for teachers and trainers. -> https://lnkd.in/dGFhSJ4N If you would like take a sneak peak on the our course, before you take a deep dive: https://lnkd.in/dksdupZm On this International Noise Awareness Day, let's amplify our commitment to soundscapes that nurture well-being and harmony. #NoiseAwarenessDay #SilenceIsGolden #KFB #ACI 🗣️🌿

#Collaboration | Recently, our teammates Karolina Jaruszewska and Marzena Czajkowska had a great pleasure of visiting the Eriksholm Research Centre in Denmark, affiliated with Oticon, a global leader in hearing care. Together with the partners of our "Spatial Audio - Practical Master Guide" educational project, Jens Ahrens, and filmmakers from the Szkoła Filmowa w Łodzi (PWSFTviT), we worked on the case study "Spatial Audio in Health". Niels Henrik Pontoppidan, the principal scientist at the Eriksholm Research Centre, shared invaluable insights into hearing care, their associated challenges, and future developments. He also provided an overview of the research infrastructure, enhancing our comprehension of the studies conducted within the center. Want to know more about Spatial Audio - Practical Master Guide? #Automotive | It sure looks fun but the blow channel is actually a crucial component of our acoustic dyno setup. It enables us to replicate real-world wind conditions experienced by vehicles during testing. By integrating it with the dyno's traction system, we can recreate a comprehensive environment that mimics real-world driving conditions.
