    We are delighted to share two major accomplishments we achieved in June 2024! At the recent Employee Experience Awards 2024 Malaysia, HEINEKEN Malaysia was awarded Bronze in the Best Employee Wellness Strategy category. With people at the heart of our company, we ensure to factor employee health and wellbeing as a key part of our overall risk management strategy. The award came in recognition of our efforts in taking a holistic approach in boosting the wellness of our people. We were also excited to receive the Great Place to Work Certification, which is a testament of our efforts in fostering an engaged workforce.     HEINEKEN Malaysia’s Corporate Affairs & Legal Director and the Vice President of the Malaysian International Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (MICCI), Renuka Indrarajah, was invited to be part of the recent Sabah Sustainability Accelerator Programme co-organised by Chemsain Sdn Bhd and MICCI Sabah. The event spotlights the latest in sustainability, green innovation, and provides Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) with essential insights into sustainable policies and financing to spearhead transformative and sustainable initiatives, in line with the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan. Renuka was part of the Panel session focusing on Surveying the Sustainability Landscape where she shared about HEINEKEN Malaysia’s sustainability strategy, holistic effort working towards healthy watersheds, net zero goal, systematic waste management and community outreach programmes in East Malaysia. She also shared how MICCI is supporting its members on the ESG journey in promoting sustainable and responsible business practices to its members.   We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to share our story and hope to inspire like-minded organisations to integrate sustainability as a key part of their organisation. #HEINEKENMalaysia

    We have announced our financial results for the quarter ended 31 March 2024 (1QFY24), reporting growth in revenue and profit, delivering a robust performance and demonstrating resilience and adaptability in a dynamic market landscape. Commenting on the results, Roland Bala, Managing Director of HEINEKEN Malaysia, said, “Coming out of a challenging year in 2023, we are pleased with the encouraging start to 2024. Whilst our Q1 performance was positive, we remain cautious, in view of the volatile trading environment and macroeconomic concerns. We will continue to build on this momentum by focusing on our EverGreen priorities, emphasising superior growth, consumer-centricity, cost efficiency, sustainability, digitalisation and reinforcing a high-performance culture. Inspired by principles of a circular economy championed by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation — eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials, and regenerate nature — we're on a mission to maximise the circularity of our products.    🔄 HEINEKEN's global strategy is built on three pillars: Reuse: We continue to transition from one-way packaging to reusable formats, reducing the need for new materials. Our 2030 goal: 43% of volumes sold in reusable format Recycled Content: elevating recycling rates, fostering collaboration and closing the loop to increase % of recycled materials in our packaging and reduce the amount of virgin material. Our 20230 goal: 50% recycled content in bottles and cans Recyclable by Design: We want to make our packaging recyclable by design so consumers can recycle and help us close the loop.
