We were excited to have shared early findings from our ADRAS-J mission during Nobu Okada's keynote at the 6th Summit for Space Sustainability! The observation operations have given us valuable insights into the movement and structural condition of space debris, paving the way for successful rendezvous and proximity operations and future debris removal! #SWFSummit24

We were absolutely chuffed to welcome the UK delegation to our headquarters in Tokyo! From a tour of the Orbitarium to the latest on our ADRAS-J mission, we had engaging conversations about the UK's Active Debris Removal programme and its role in establishing the UK as a leader in space sustainability. Thanks for stopping by and we’ll see you back in Harwell! UK Space Agency | Harwell Science and Innovation Campus | Department for Science, Innovation and Technology

🌞 It's hot in Tokyo, but we're turning up the heat on space sustainability! At #SPACETIDE2024, we shared the latest insights from our ADRAS-J mission and how it's a game-changer for rendezvous and proximity operations. We also reinforced how commercial and government collaboration can pave the way for a sustainable future in space. A special shoutout to the BCCJ - The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan for organizing a fantastic event to discuss how the UK and Japan are emerging as key partners in this exciting era of space activity. Next up, #SWFSummit2024! See you there.

ADRAS-J UPDATE: We started our most challenging operation yet—fly-around observation—and nearly completed a full loop! While we didn’t make it all the way, we captured this incredible shot of the space debris above Earth and confirmed the effectiveness of our collision avoidance system. Ready to try again soon! https://lnkd.in/g-xwZrNU #ShowtheWayADRASJ
