At MMI we are building the future of microsurgery. The Symani platform provides the surgeon with the capability to operate on a small scale with ease and precision, thanks to the Symani platform and a variety of Instrument types.


We are looking for a Mechanical Sustaining Engineer to support our Sustaining team


Role & Responsibilities

  • Update MFG product items to improve parts quality and reliability, modifying drawings (Tolerances and CTQ), specs or selecting different supplier or different production methods.
  • Work with Operations Quality on Production Change Orders to maintain updated Items and Documents on Arena PLM.
  • Collaborate with QA to manage Product Quality Events and Complaints performing investigation, root cause analysis of failures, and proposing remediation.
  • Design and develop MFG tools included documentation to optimize assembly or production process.
  • Use Problem Solving processes (A3 DMAIC) to solve everyday issues.
  • Develop Test Protocols and related Equipment to measures MFG parts reliability, EOL and execute quality investigation campaign.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Quality to define Components CTQ and Incoming inspection Tests


Requirements

  • Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Degree.
  • Able to make and review mech Drawings calculating tolerances chain on mating parts or joint.
  • Expert in mechanical design.
  • Experience with CAD SW (Solidworks preferred).
  • Lean Manufacturing Principles knowledge
  • Medical Quality System knowledge (e.g. GMP).
  • Different Material and Manufacturing technologies and processes knowledge
