To implement our Operation function we are looking for a:
Head of PMO
The role leads a new independent function reporting into the Group Chief Operating Officer covering Projects and Portfolio management across the Group. The goal of this function is to oversees business Projects and ensure that are completed on time and within budget reaching company’s goals.
The Head of PMO will develop and lead a new team of Project Managers which will be distributed in 3 different countries of EU, and in conjunction with the COO will work to define a common governance framework to ensure that all initiatives are carried on in a structured and effective way, avoiding silos and supporting the development of a Group culture.
He/she will be responsible of Portfolio management at group level, act as the Project Manager for the most important initiatives at Group or local level, identify and hire additional resources in the team as needed, ensure a continuous improvement approach also to project management processes and activity to adequately support the growth of our business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Project definition and planning: the PMO collaborates with various stakeholders to define project goals, success criteria, timelines, and costs, drawing up a project plan detailing phases, activities, risks, and resources needed.
Monitoring and control: the PMO tracks the progress against the plan and flags any issues or delays. He/she is responsible for quality control, risk management, and keeping projects within time and budget.
Communication: the PMO acts as a central point of contact for all communications related to a project or portfolio of projects, liaising with stakeholders.
Change management: because any project involves organizational changes, the PMO Manager must be able to lead and support the team through these changes. This can include training staff on new processes, managing resistance to change, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Improvement of project management processes: the PMO is responsible for creating, implementing, and continuously improving project management methodologies and processes, for example with the adoption of new tools or techniques, the implementation of best practices and the training of staff.
Strategic consulting: the PMO will play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of the organization, providing advice on strategic planning, resource allocation, project portfolio management, and organization-wide risk management.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in business, management engineering or related field.
10+ years’ experience in project management, 5+ years’ experience in portfolio management.
