Design Studio Engineer

The position

Toyota Material Handling Design Center in Bologna are now looking for a Design Studio Engineer that wants to join us in creating Toyota Material Handling Europe’s future products, securing Product Design into TMHE’s product range and creating concepts for the future.

As a Design Studio Engineer at TMHE, you are involved in the whole design process. You are going to have a central role in the collaboration between R&D and our Design Center teams.

Your most important tasks will be:

· Provide engineering and feasibility input in early development phase.

· Computer-aided design (Catia, Alias, etc.) packages to develop ideas and produce technical solutions

· Organising files in Design and R&D file storage systems and keeping version control of the design master models

· You will also be able to research and propose new digital tools and processes to include in our daily work.

Knowledge in A-class surface modelling (Alias) and digital rendering is a bonus!

Desired Skills And Experience

You have a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, or a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of work experience – automotive or industrial vehicle filed is preferred. You are proficient in Catia and have some knowledge of Alias. You have good problem-solving skills with a creative engineering approach. You are well versed in manufacturing methods and have some hands-on experience in prototype building and assembly.

As a person you are open minded, creative and driven. Teamwork and communication are your strong points and you are always curious and ready to innovate.

Fluent English and Italian is required.
