Led by our experienced Training Manager, Darren Cogan, the session provided valuable insights and practical skills. Key topics covered included: ➡️ Identifying health and safety requirements for winch operation, performing risk assessments, and understanding emergency procedures. ➡️ Inspecting and maintaining winches and winch cables/ropes. ➡️ Recognising and implementing safe working practices for winching. ➡️ Understanding safety zones and procedures for various winching operations. ➡️ Demonstrating different winching operations, such as straight line, offset, and double line pulls. This training is part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency in all our projects. 🚀 Confined Space Training in Amsterdam! Sixteen of our dedicated operatives on a Data Centre project in Amsterdam have successfully completed confined space training. Led by Kristian, CEO of Peak Safety, this training ensures our team's safety and preparedness for high-risk environments. The focus was on the safe operation of MEWP’s, with particular emphasis on avoiding pinch points and proper hand placement. We also underscored the crucial role of spotters and the correct use of bump protection on MEWPs. These measures are essential for ensuring a safe working environment. Following each demonstration, our Contracts Manager, Stephen Kennedy, expressed his appreciation by giving each operative a canteen voucher.
