Supply Chain Projects Manager H/F

Lagardère Travel Retail is one of the world leaders in Travel Retail, serving passengers in airports, railway stations and other concessions in 42 countries. One of the two divisions of the Lagardère group, Lagardère Travel Retail meets the needs of passengers and licensors in a holistic way through a network of more than 5 000 Travel Essentials, Duty Free & Fashion and Foodservice outlets. The group has established an ambitious CSR roadmap called P.E.P.S (Planet.Ethics.People.Social), in order to contribute to the construction of a more sustainable industry. In 2023, Lagardère Travel Retail generated €6.6bn sales.


In the context of a global reorganization, we are creating a new Group Operational Excellence Department, with the overall objective to drive top- and bottom-line store performance by continuously improving in-store execution leveraging internal and external expertise and innovation, support openings or distressed operations to foster profitable expansion.


This new department will include four teams:

• Store solutions

• Local Supply Chain, Loss Prevention and Transversal Projects management

• Operational quality

• Indirect purchasing


The purpose of the Local Supply Chain pole will be to strengthen countries’ expertise, culture & focus on Supply Chain, with a specific focus on Supply Chain tools, operational good practices and processes and global community animation. It will cover all business lines: Duty Free & Fashion, Travel Essentials and Foodservice, and it will cover all countries, requiring to take into account the specificities of each country and business.

Scope will be from first point of reception in a country (local warehouse, platform or direct to store) to gondola in points of sale.


MAIN MISSIONS :

In this context, the Supply Chain Projects manager’s responsibilities are the following:

  • Identify, share and roll-out Supply Chain best practices: detect good practices in countries or on the market (benchmarking of competition and retailers), document the good practices, communicate them to all countries and drive implementation. Monitor and document impacts based on key KPIs analysis
  • Optimization of logistics processes in countries to maximize operational efficiency and optimize gains: document best-practices processes, train users and monitor application and impacts – including for example (but not limited to): receptions, inventories, random checking, runners management, storage and warehouses optimization, etc.
  • Support countries in the day-to-day for the operational implementation of the projects, with a hands-on and field approach
  • Build training for countries: develop training documents on tools and processes (in collaboration with Training department) and onboard / train users on the field – participate in the creation of an Operational Academy for the Supply Chain part
  • Drive improvement of tools used by countries: organize relations with global IT to make sure business needs are well understood and prioritized; communicate to all relevant users new IT features available, develop adequate communication and train users to maximize adhesion and use (including on-site support); understand trends and countries’ needs to drive continuous improvement of tools and development of new tools to maximize operational efficiency. Identity new dashboards to create to monitor Supply Chain performance, brief BI teams for development, test and validate; roll-out in countries and train users
  • Animate global Supply Chain Community: continuously animate good practices sharing, support between countries and Supply Chain Community events (seminars, webinars, challenges and other types of animations to define…)
  • Benchmark Supply Chain organizations and recommend target organizations to countries


The Supply Chain Projects Manager will have a transversal role working with all countries, all businesses and ensuring efficient coordination with relevant departments: Global Vendors Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Business / Operations, Internal control.


PROFILE

You have a Master in Management or Engineering and ideally you have :

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience,
  • An experience in operational Supply Chain
  • An experience with SAP & WMS


You have a good command of project management (organisation, coordination, prioritization, etc.), knowledge of Supply processes & tools and Microsoft Office (in particular Excel and PowerPoint). You have analytical skills et you are fluent in English and French (spoken and written).


You have a taste for challenge and are recognised for your flexibility, curiosity and versatility ; your autonomy, decision-making and ability to deal with the unexpected.

You have the capacity to manage various tasks and projects and deliver ambitious results, and good anticipation, organization and priority management skills. You have a strong interest for operations and capacity to lead change management and embark teams in new processes.

You also have a good communication and interpersonal skills.
