Atelier ATHEM is commissioned to finance the restoration by advertising the Hôtel de Cabre, which is classified as a historical monument. Having become an expert in this virtuous system, ATHEM has, since 2007, directly contributed to the preservation of more than 50 protected buildings.
[Patrimoine] ATHEM participe à la préservation de la plus ancienne maison de Marseille L’Hôtel de Cabre vient de débuter ses travaux de restauration et nous sommes plutôt fiers d’annoncer que c’est l’Atelier qui a été désigné pour assurer sa valorisation*. Avant que ne soit installé dans quelques semaines notre dispositif scénographique sur la façade, voici 5 choses à savoir sur ce morceau d’histoire : ⇢ L’immeuble, aussi appelé “Maison de l’Échevin de Cabre”, date du XVIe siècle, et a été construit sur la commande du Consul Louis de Cabre ; ⇢ Il a récemment été découvert que cet édifice de style gothique n’est en fait que la moitié d’un ensemble de deux maisons autrefois reliées par une passerelle ; ⇢ En janvier 1943 se déroule la terrible rafle de Marseille. Le quartier du Vieux Port est vidé de ses 20.000 habitants, 1.642 personnes sont déportées. Les troupes allemandes détruisent tout à l’exception de quelques bâtiments à valeur historique parmi lesquels l’Hôtel de Cabre ; ⇢ En 1954, à la reconstruction du quartier, l’immeuble de 650 tonnes est déplacé d’un bloc et tourné de 90° afin d’entrer dans l’alignement de la Grand-Rue ; ⇢ 70 ans plus tard, de nouveaux travaux sont entrepris pour permettre la préservation de ce lieu historique dégradé par le temps et la pollution. ___ *L’Atelier ATHEM est missionné pour le financement de la restauration par la publicité de l’Hôtel de Cabre, qui est classé monument historique.
