Big news for sustainable mobility! 🌟 We’re excited to share significant updates to the IziLo Mobilités public transport network in Lorient, France.     Following the renewal in January of our contract with the Lorient conurbation for 8 more years, our subsidiary RD Lorient Agglomération, IziLo Mobilités recently launched a 100% electric shuttle service “Ma navette, mon centre-ville.” This service is free for Lorient's parking facilities users. 🚐   With a 35-passenger capacity, extended battery range and rapid charging capabilities, this shuttle exemplifies our dedication to decarbonized transport. 🔋    We also introduced 620 electric-assist bicycles for short and long-term rentals to promote daily cycling among Lorient residents. 🚴♂️    RD Lorient Agglomération is replacing the diesel bus fleet with BioGNV (80%) and hydrogen-powered vehicles (20%). Two new minibuses are already serving Groix Island, and there are 16 BioGNV buses in operation, with eight more on the way. 🚌 IziLo's goal is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 78%. 🌱 Here’s to a greener, more efficient future for public transport in Lorient!     #SustainableTransport #GreenTransport #RATPDev #PublicTransport

What is DataMobility? Data is everywhere! Every day, our public transport networks generate over 100 million data points related to passengers, operations, maintenance, regions and more. 🚌💻 But data alone holds no value until it’s collected and leveraged effectively. That's where the DataMobility platform comes in — it's our initiative to unlock the full potential of data. We work closely with each network to develop strategic frameworks for data collection and implement robust organizational systems. At RATP Dev, our methodical and pragmatic DataMobility platform specializes in the entire data value chain: 📊 Automated collection: We gather raw data from various sources. 📊 Storage & Processing: We make data reliable and standardize them to facilitate utilization. This is done in compliance with data protection regulations. 📊 Utilization: We apply advanced algorithms and data science models to extract meaningful information. 📊 Decision-Enabling Insights: We transform data into actionable insights through tools, indicators, dashboards, and graphs, empowering informed decision-making. Each approach is customized to local contexts, integrating existing systems, addressing specific needs and leveraging the expertise of local teams. Curious to learn more about how the DataMobility platform enhances network performance and passenger experiences? Explore more details below! #TransportInnovation #Technology #DataMobility #RATPDev

Tootbus leads the way in sustainable tourism with its ambitious Climate Plan! 🌍✨   Our sightseeing subsidiary, Tootbus, is setting the standard for eco-friendly urban tourism. With its new Climate Plan, Tootbus aims for carbon neutrality by 2030 through fleet electrification and renewable energy adoption.   Tootbus fleet emissions are already five times lower than traditional diesel buses, with a 1,808 tCO2e reduction in 2023 alone. In keeping with the commitments undertaken upon signing the Glasgow declaration for climate action in the tourism sector in 2023, Tootbus is now accelerating its efforts.   Key initiatives in this new Climate Plan include: 💡 Energy transition: Since 2021, 35% of Tootbus’s fleet has been electric, with other buses using biogas in Paris, London and Brussels. It’s electrifying 47 more buses. 🌱 Energy optimization: Rainwater harvesting and eco-driving telematics further cut energy consumption. ☀️ Solar power: Solar panels at the London depot are being installed to produce 66,000 kWh annually. 📱 Digital responsibility: Tootbus minimizes energy use and its digital footprint with smartphone-based audioguides and low-tech digital optimizations.   Partnering with Greenly, Tootbus has measured its 2023 carbon footprint per GHG protocol, setting targeted actions for carbon neutrality by 2030. It also prioritizes suppliers that adhere to sustainable and ethical practices.   As a leader in urban tourism, Tootbus is dedicated to raising climate change awareness and hopes this Climate Plan inspires the entire sector. #SustainableTourism #ClimateAction #SustainableTransport #RATPDev Photo credits: Pauline de Courreges

We had a fantastic time exploring the future of mobility at Africa Rail 2024! This week in Johannesburg, our South African subsidiary team members shared their expertise on rail across the continent. Let’s take a look at some of the key takeaways: 👩🏻🔧 RATP Dev is addressing the talent shortage in the rail industry while also prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion. In South Africa, of the over 500 locals that we employ, 35% are young people and 50% are women, shared Nthabiseng Kubheka, CEO of Bombela Operating Company.  📊 Fully digitized networks that properly leverage data analytics can offer real-time insights that are crucial for making quick and informed decisions, explained Bongumusa Hadebe, Engineering Manager at Bombela Operating Company. 🛠️ Insights from data can also help us adapt to new travel patterns since the pandemic and adjust schedules and services accordingly, enhancing the overall passenger experience, explained Cornelius Nortje, Transport Manager at Bombela Operating Company. 💡 Automation can help reduce delays and improve on-time performance, while also making rail operations more sustainable, underlined Adeyemi Ishekwene Pr.Eng, M.Eng, GCC, Executive Maintenance at Bombela Operating Company. 🚄 RATP Dev's commuter rail expertise spans Johannesburg, Cairo, Casablanca and beyond, both throughout daily life and during major global events, discussed Didier Lescloupé, Operations Executive at Bombela Operating Company. We hope all Africa Rail 2024 attendees enjoyed hearing our insights throughout these talks and at our booth. We look forward to continuing to shape the future of rail across the continent! #AfricaRail #RATPDev #Rail #TransportInnovation

What will mobility look like in the year 2050? We posed this question to young people in Johannesburg as part of our Youth Mobility Vision initiative. The insights from the participants were both inspiring and thought-provoking, highlighting the urgent need to tackle current challenges to build a better future: 📈 Inclusive growth: Everyone should have access to safe and reliable transport, highlighting the importance of social mobility. 🦺 Door-to-door security: Designing transport systems with a security-first approach is essential for the safety of all passengers. 👫 Reinforcing social bonds: Mobility should safeguard the various needs and interests of all stakeholders. 🌿 Bridging the rural-urban divide: Rural areas should enjoy the same infrastructures and connectivity as urban areas. 📱 Leveraging technology: Technology should be developed more but not fully replace human interaction. 📢 Participative design: Citizens want their voices heard throughout the design and creation of new transport services. June marks Youth Month in South Africa, a time to reflect on how we can build a better future for the generations to come. As part of this celebration, Nthabiseng Kubheka, CEO of our South African subsidiary, presented these insights at Africa Rail 2024. Her message resonates powerfully: “We dare not let our youth down, for the future will judge us, and harshly so.” #SouthAfrica #AfricaRail2024 #MobilityForAll #RATPDev
