In September 2023, DCC Energy shared its “cleaner energy in your power” strategy with an ambition to double profits and half carbon by 2030. We aim to deepen out the path to net zero emissions for our customers, thanks to multi-energy product slate and integration capability.

Purpose of the role

The Business Development & Key Account Manager of the EMS team will lead the growth of the top-line related to trans-national projects and clients and develop top-line synergies between European businesses.

Key responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the energy management services sector, focusing on trans-national clients.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve organic growth targets.
  • Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through market research and networking.

Key Account Management

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with clients across different countries to identify synergies and opportunities for mutual growth.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through effective account management practices.

Cross Selling

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify complementary products and services within our portfolio.
  • Develop and implement cross-selling strategies to maximize revenue from existing clients, including strategy about CRM
  • Coordinate with business units to create integrated solutions that address clients' comprehensive energy management needs.

Market Intelligence

  • Stay up to date of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to Proposition and Strategy Lead based on market intelligence.

Communications

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and regional businesses.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and technical teams to ensure alignment with client needs and market trends.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development and key account management within the energy management or related industry.
  • Ideally a strong understanding of energy solutions, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices.
  • Fluent in English + helpfully 1 other European language.
  • Autonomous to approach large key accounts customers.
  • Autonomous to drive large projects and manage consultants.
  • Strong soft skills for functional responsibilities and community work.
