The aim is to give them access to a good education and, at the same time, a way out of the cycle of poverty.   As part of our team, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of our events. Your ideas, coordination and implementation will ensure that every event is a success and inspires the participants. TASKS ➙ Plan, implement, and evaluate events  ➙ Research potential events  ➙ Collaborate with marketing to promote events WHAT'S NEEDED ➙ Advanced German skills ➙ Team player ➙ Organizational skills ➙ Outgoing personality ➙ Strong communication skills TIME REQUIRED ➙ Approx. 5 hours/week ➙ Flexible schedule, events mostly on weekends or public holidays ➙ Work remotely (except during events) ➙ Virtual team meeting: Wednesdays at 6:45 PM A few points about us and how we work: ➙ Our team is based across Europe ➙ In order to be able to work together efficiently despite the distance, we have a virtual meeting once a week in the evening ➙ We are all open-minded, warm and motivated. Students for Amani is a non-profit organization supporting small-scale educational projects for children and young adults. "Amani" means "peace of mind" in Swahili. We believe every child deserves a fulfilling life without fear for the future. Founded by six students, our team now includes twelve dedicated young professionals and students working voluntarily. Spread across various European cities, we build an international network and work in both English and German. Despite the distance, we collaborate online and aim for at least one annual team meeting. Each team member is assigned to specific departments based on their skills and interests, ensuring effective collaboration and maximizing our collective strengths. Personal rapport is key to our success, alongside efficient task distribution. Our departments include Board, Communication, Website, Events, Finance, and Fundraising. What an incredible time we had at Moers Jazz Festival! Our team was thrilled to bring a taste of Kenya to this vibrant event, selling our handmade products. We are beyond grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, supported our cause, and helped us raise an amazing €890 for children’s education. Every purchase made a difference!
