A full day of keynotes, workshops, masterclasses, networking and summer fun has come to an end! The whole ⭕ KI Park e.V. office was buzzing with energy, smiles and excitement 🤩 With each passing year, this traditional event has become more and more of a place for people to reconnect, meet old friends and look at the state of AI together 🚀 We would like to thank each and every one of you for being part of our ⭕ KI Park e.V. community, for being with us, for believing in us. We are eager to support our members on their AI journey and being a part of it! 🚀 Our member Berliner Volksbank eG is working intensively on AI and has dedicated an entire day at ⭕️KI Park e.V. space to this topic. The Management Board, division heads and dedicated colleagues from the bank took part in the AI Learning Journey, which was organised in collaboration with ⭕️KI Park e.V.. Together, we explored the latest developments and challenges for Berliner Volksbank eG 🏦🤖   Daniel Keller, Deputy CEO of Berliner Volksbank, opened the event. An introduction to the day was given by Prof. Dr. Bastian Halecker from XU Exponential University Potsdam, followed by a presentation of KI Park e.V. by Florian Schütz, PhD.    The day continued with an engaging presentation by ⭕️ KI Park CEO Prof. Dr. Sabina Jeschke on the future developments and strategic implications of AI. Dr Michael Durst from ITONICS - The Innovation OS then explained how AI acts as a change driver and how technology push and market pull can be successfully brought together 🌐⚙️   One of the highlights was the practical use case of GASAG Gruppe, presented by Ilko von Bieberstein, who illustrated concrete applications of AI in customer service. Another memorable insight came from NVIDIA, presented by Dr. Jochen Papenbrock, who explained how AI infrastructures are developed and expanded💡🏢   In the afternoon, further practical use cases were presented: Maximilian Klein, Marcus David Tunkel, Christian Nagel and Christoph Maselko presented "GenKI" at Berliner Volksbank eG. Later on, our ⭕️KI Park e.V. members Yannik Schäfer (ML6 | Your partner in AI) spoke about AI-based customer solutions, and Christian Richter (YUKKA Lab AG) explained the use of AI for market analyses 📊🤖   Another highlight was the session on GenAI and copyright, presented by Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann and Dr. Malte Baumann from the law firm NORDEMANN and the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Humboldt University of Berlin).    Many thanks to all the speakers and participants for their input and ideas! 🙏   It is inspiring to see Berliner Volksbank eG's commitment to advancing AI within their business. We are delighted to welcome Christian Berger to our Executive Board at ⭕️ KI Park e.V. as a Deputy Chairperson and CFO!🔥 Christian Berger has over 15 years of experience in start-up management and growing organizations. He has successfully expanded companies from 3 to 90 employees and budgets from €100,000 to €30 million annually. As the CFO and a member of PHINEO gAG's Management Board, he focuses on finance, corporate tax, financial planning, and controlling, among other areas. Christian is also the co-founder and CEO of WE AID gGmbH, a non-profit that supports private voluntary activities. He holds a diploma in Business Administration and Economics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, with a semester at Aalto University in Finland.   We also would like to thank Olly Salzmann for his exemplary work and dedication during his term as interim CFO. During his tenure he successfully reduced external spendings and further harmonised financial reporting processes. Moreover, he found and convinced Christian to become his successor. In the magazine Berliner Wirtschaft, published by the IHK Berlin, an article by Eli Hamacher highlights Berlin's status as a leading hub for artificial intelligence 📝 Research institutions, robust networks and innovative start-ups are driving the city's AI ecosystem to new heights 🌐 📈   Our Managing Director, Dr. Florian Schütz, contributed his insights and discussed ⭕️KI Park e.V.'s key role in advancing AI innovation in Germany and Europe. On the 1st of July, we have held an event called "AI-Driven Networks: From 5G Innovation to 6G Horizons" at ⭕KI Park e.V. office. This collaborative initiative by ⭕️KI Park e.V. and FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg brought together leading industry practitioners and academic researchers to explore the future of connectivity and AI's revolutionary role in #5G and #6G network 🌐 Eva Russwurm took the lead on behalf of FAU, supported by a talented team of researchers comprising Torsten Reißland, Tobias Jung, Victor Shatov, Jonas Bönsch and Kilian Müller, who presented their research on 5G and 6G networks. Their collective effort demonstrated the growing talent within Germany’s scientific community, under the guidance of Prof. Franchi 👨🎓 👩🎓 📝 We are happy to present you with the key takeaways and highlights from the event: 🔬 Emerging Young Talent: The event showed how young researchers in Germany are making a big impact, not just on scientific discoveries in 5G/6G Networks and AI applications, but also on market-oriented innovations. Masoud Seifaei introduced an unconventional yet potentially sustainable AI deployment solution: analog chips. It remains to be seen how the market will respond to this innovation 📈 🖥 Industry Insights: Alfred Manhart from NVIDIA and Philipp Deibert from Deloitte shared deep insights into how AI is being used in 5G networks to drive revenue generation 💶 It's a challenge that the industry is still working through. 🤖 Innovative use case: Paksy Plackis-Cheng from Staex showcased an impressive use case of a drone collecting real-time data via a 5G network, enabling secure payments through blockchain technology. This was the startup's first use case at #Marienpark, which has its own private 5G Campus on the site. Marcus Giehrl from NTT and Christian Meine from Investa provided a detailed overview of this newly established Campus. Anyone interested is welcome to use this new 5G Campus. The common agreement among participants was clear: collaboration is the key to advancing AI in 5G/6G networks 🤝 🔑 Creating new use cases and educating the market about these advances is essential, and ecosystems like ⭕️ KI Park e.V. are highly important for this.
