Volvo Cars is the latest in a long line of OEMs to give its electric vehicle (EV) customers access to Plug&Charge, the most secure, speedy, and seamless charging experience on the market. Thanks to a newly signed partnership with Hubject, Volvo EV drivers can simply plug their vehicles into a compatible charging station and the vehicle will automatically handle authentication and payment, eliminating the need for physical cards or mobile apps.    The partnership with Hubject means Volvo EV drivers can now sign up for the Volvo Public Charging Service. This:     💡simplifies the process of locating and using public chargers   💡 gives access to Plug&Charge through any compatible CPO  💡 enhances the EV charging experience for Volvo customers.      All Volvo vehicles will be equipped with the Hubject V2G Root Certificate. Using the ISO15118-2 standard,  this technology ensures secure communication between the vehicle and the charging station, enhancing the reliability and safety of the charging process. The ISO15118-2 protocol supports advanced functionalities such as Plug&Charge, ensuring interoperability and a smooth user experience across different charging networks. Good news for EV drivers in Southeast Asia and those who support the shift to sustainable transportation in the region. We recently signed a strategic partnership with Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd (Gentari), a leading clean energy solutions company in Southeast Asia. The agreement  connects Gentari’s network of EV chargers to Hubject’s eRoaming platform and will benefit EV drivers (and the environment) in several ways:    🔋 It gives EV drivers the ability to seamlessly charge at an expanded network of stations across the region   🔋It’s a further milestone towards the longer-term aim of enhancing the accessibility and reliability of the EV charging infrastructure in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia, especially when Gentari's charging points become certified for Plug&Charge 🔋Leveraging Hubject's expertise in simplifying the charging of EVs and using charge points that run on green energy and renewable energy will hopefully encourage more drivers across Southeast Asia to switch from fossil fuel cars to green mobility.    Gentari Green Mobility is committed to advancing the transition to sustainable transportation by empowering greater range confidence and ensuring safety, reliability, convenience and value for its customers.
