Did you know.... …𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟® contains Silicate 💎 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟® 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝗮𝗺 is a silicated reinforced bone regeneration material prepared form β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) and porcine collagen for various orthopedic applications e.g. filling and bridging degenerative or traumatic bone defects including spinal procedures. The silicate doping of 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟® 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝗮𝗺 allows for increased osteoconductivity along with timely physiological resorption of the biomimetic scaffold leading to a full bone regeneration. 🔦 Product spotlight:𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗿𝗼® 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗿𝗼® hemostyptic is a sterile, highly porous sponge that is implantable and resorbable, characterized by its effectiveness in rapid and efficient hemostasis. 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗿𝗼® shows an excellent interconnective porosity and has a stable sponge structure, which is ideal for stabilizing a blood clot. 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗿𝗼® uses advanced hemostatic technology based on collagen fibers which are not chemically crosslinked and hardened due to heat treatment. The mode of action of hemostatic sponges is related to capturing platelets in a coagulation cascade, which is activated by the conversion of soluble fibrinogen into insoluble fibrin, which stops the bleeding. The physiological formation of thrombin in the sponge causes the bleeding to stop, because of its effect on fibrinogen in the blood. 🩸 More important features that characterize 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗿𝗼® 🔧 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 Designed for ease of application, making it suitable for a variety of medical settings, including surgical procedures, trauma care and emergency medicine. 📢 Rückblick curasan Town Hall Meeting: Im gemeinsamen Rhythmus zum Erfolg! 📢 Vergangene Woche hatte das curasan Team die wunderbare Gelegenheit, sich abseits des geschäftlichen Trubels beim jährlichen Town Hall Meeting zu treffen und auszutauschen. In der malerischen Hotelanlage in Niedernberg bei Aschaffenburg, umgeben von einer idyllischen Seenlandschaft, fanden wir den perfekten Rahmen für inspirierende Gespräche, wichtige Company News und ein entspanntes Beisammensein. 🥁 Ein besonderes Highlight war der Trommel Workshop mit den inspirierenden und mitreißenden Jungs von Drum Conversation, bei dem wir gemeinsam unser Rhythmusgefühl unter Beweis stellen und unsere Teamzusammenarbeit auf ein neues Level bringen konnten. Eine im Mai 2024 veröffentlichte Studie von Hanusrichter et al. untersuchte die Verwendung von formbarem Kollagen-Tricalciumphosphat als sicheren Träger für lokale Antibiotika bei der Revisions-Hüftendoprothetik. Kurzfristige Ergebnisse zeigten eine hohe Implantatüberlebensrate von 92% bei der letzten Nachuntersuchung. Es wurden verschiedene Pathogene wie Staphylokokken und Escherichia coli nachgewiesen, wobei die Infektionsraten berichtet wurden. Die Studie betonte die Sicherheit des Produkts und wies darauf hin, dass keine relevanten systemischen Toxizitäten beobachtet wurden. Die Überlebensraten wurden mittels Kaplan-Meier-Analyse dargestellt. Es wurden keine signifikanten Risikofaktoren analysiert, da die Stichprobengröße heterogen war. Die Ergebnisse legen nahe, dass diese Methode dazu beitragen kann, das Infektionsrisiko nach Hüftrevisionen zu reduzieren. Zukünftige prospektive Studien sind erforderlich, um die Langzeitwirkungen dieser Behandlungsmethode zu bewerten.
