Can a #CLAAS #tractor pull another victory at the Tractor of the Year Award? Let the challenge begin! 🚜🏆   After the great victory of the XERION 12.650 TERRA TRAC last year, CLAAS is also taking part in the latest installment of the renowned international Tractor of the Year Award.   We are competing in the "MidTractor" category with the ARION 660 CMATIC. The flagship of the ARION 600 series is characterized by a long wheelbase with excellent traction, a highly efficient and durable CMATIC transmission made by CLAAS and the full package of state-of-the-art technologies such as CEMOS – all of this making it the current top seller from our Le Mans tractor production.   Today’s ARION 660 CMATIC is, after its first appearance in 2017, the result of years of continuous improvements and technical progress. A CLAAS Hungária Kft. 2012-ben indította útjára a UniTech Mérnökversenyt, mely a 2023/2024-es tanévben immár ötödik alkalommal került megrendezésre.  A verseny célja, hogy megnyissuk az utat a mérnökhallgatók előtt a gyakorlati tapasztalatok szerzése felé, miközben bevezetjük őket a CLAAS izgalmas mezőgépészeti világába.  A versenyévad fináléjában, április 25-én a legkitartóbb csapatok élőben mérték össze a tudásukat, ahol három kihívással kellett megküzdeniük, ezt foglaltuk össze a lenti videóban.   A CLAAS a mérnökhallgatók és frissdiplomások számára a pályakezdő munkakörök mellett hazai és nemzetközi gyakornoki pozíciókat is kínál a törökszentmiklósi K+F központban. CLAAS Hungária Kft. launched the UniTech Engineering Competition in 2012, which was organized for the fifth time in the 2023/2024 academic year. The aim of the competition is to open the way for engineering students to gain practical experience while introducing them to the exciting world of agricultural engineering at CLAAS. CLAAS celebrates 500,000 combine harvesters - A brief throwback in history and heritage 🌾     As one of the world's leading manufacturers for combine harvesters, CLAAS has been shaping the industry with forward-thinking innovations in technology as well as in production for almost 90 years. This year, CLAAS celebrates half a million combine harvesters with jubilee machines all around the globe. 🎉  This anniversary is worth looking back at its origins in history.    Almost 90 years ago, CLAAS launched the first European combine harvester, the Mäh-Dresch-Binder, or MDB for short. Combine live labeling at DLG Field Days 🚜 🌾   The DLG Field Days took place over three days in June near Erwitte in Germany. CLAAS was able to impressively demonstrate its innovative strength with its "crop production out of the box" stand concept. The entire team received consistently positive feedback on the concept and content of the stand. There were numerous exciting discussions with visitors who provided valuable insights into current needs and trends. Besides that, there was also a reason to celebrate: This year, CLAAS is celebrating a special anniversary of 500,000 combine harvesters. At the end of May, Agritechnica Asia took place in Bangkok, #Thailand, and the trade fair proved to be a very successful one. The #CLAAS stand attracted many visitors who showed great interest in the products and services. This year’s focus was set on sugarcane straw baling with the QUADRANT 4200 EVOLUTION which is especially popular in Thailand. The QUADRANT has a significant role in reducing air pollution in #agriculture by promoting an alternative to open field burning. The still common practice of burning to handle the straw causes pollution that increases smog. With the slogan #StopBurning, the attention was pointed at an alternative method for farmers. The solution to bale the sugarcane straw and then sell it to the power plants of sugar mills which create sustainable energy, and therefore value from waste. This solution does not only reduce the amount of open field burning but also creates major benefits to everyone involved, especially regarding environmental #ESG aspects. The QUADRANT plays a big part in this alternative method as the large square #baler delivers outstanding productivity for collecting straw in extensive fields in compact bales. CLAAS at the IdeenExpo 2024: Making agriculture come alive! ✨🚜 From June 8 to 16 the IdeenExpo fair took place in Hanover, Germany. CLAAS was present with a stand, where visitors were able to discover the world of modern agricultural technology!   Among the highlights: The cabins of a XERION tractor and the EVION 430 combine harvester, in which anyone could take a seat and try out the terminals. Also, with the help of a biogas model the sustainable cycle of agriculture was made tangible.   All age groups got their share of fun getting active and, for example, testing their knowledge in various hands-on courses such as the integrated soldering station or a quiz.   #CLAAS #IdeenExpo2024 #agriculture #innovation #MINT #engineering

ESG is on everyone's lips - at #CLAAS, ESG is also in action! 💡   At the CLAAS combine assembly plant in Omaha, Nebraska, a new wood grinder, ensures sustainable #recycling of pallets and other shipping containers. ♻️ This innovation shreds wood waste and separates metal parts so that both materials can be processed further. As a result, 170 cubic meters of wood scrap are processed into mulch every week and find a new use in gardens and parks - instead of ending up in a landfill. 💚   Additional uses for the wood chips are also currently being discussed, such as processing them into graphene for batteries and sensors.    Not only the environment benefits from this new innovation. In addition to repurposing the wood, disposal costs for the assembly plant were halved compared to the previous year thanks to the wood grinder.    #Sustainability #ESG #Innovation #Recycling

500,000 #CLAAS combine harvesters equal 500,000 success stories: a very special #anniversary! 🎉🏆   The #combine harvesters will soon be rolling onto the grain fields again. This year, there are some special machines from CLAAS among them. These are jubilee and demonstration machines celebrating the 500,000 CLAAS combine harvesters that have been built worldwide from 1936 to the present day.   The anniversary combine harvesters are now embarking on a journey to various countries for harvesting demonstrations and as highlights at trade fairs. Farming “out of the box” - impressions from the DLG Field Days! 🚜 🌾   The DLG Field Days are currently taking place near Erwitte in Germany. More than 20,000 visitors are expected to attend and learn out about current and future topics relating to arable #farming, plant breeding and #technology.   #CLAAS is present with a “crop production out of the box” concept. The idea behind it: Seeking an exchange with visitors about #sustainable cultivation methods. Specifically for example, there will be an Agri-PV plot together with co-exhibitor Next2Sun AG, as well as another plot for agroforestry.   The event is organized by the DLG e.V. - German Agricultural Society and will take place until June 13. For all those who can’t be there, we have collected some impressions below.
