Huayou Cobalt was established in 2002, specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of new energy Li-ion battery materials and advanced cobalt materials. Huayou has also established four distinct business units, namely Resources Development, New Materials Manufacturing, New Energy Manufacturing, and Recycling. These units have created an integrated industrial ecosystem for new energy lithium batteries, encompassing cobalt and nickel mineral development, refining, Li-ion battery cathode material processing, as well as reusing and recycling. Huayou also proactively answers the national "3060" carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, the wholly-owned subsidiaries. In 2022, Chengdu B＆M passed the PAS2060 system certification and became the world's first cathode material factory with zero carbon emissions.
