A memorable visit by World YMCA President Soheila Y. Hayek and YMCA England & Wales VP Peter Posner OBE to the YMCA Community & Activity Village in Newark. 🙌 Alongside the recent YMCA England & Wales National Convention, this visit was a chance for all to share YMCA stories and discuss programmes, services and goals. Soheila and Peter toured the extensive community and activity facilities and got to see the Climbing Centre in action and young footballers practising. 👉 See more from their visit here! https://bit.ly/3WhoxE2 YMCA Newark and Sherwood YMCA Robin Hood Group YMCA Europe

Today is World Youth Skills Day. Young people face a challenging present and an uncertain future. By one estimate, 85 per cent of the jobs today’s learners will be doing in 2030 have not yet been invented (UNICEF), putting pressure on all stakeholders to think creatively to acquire new skills for the future. ⚙️💻 Through YMCA Vision 2030 and partnerships, YMCAs are addressing these challenges. Thank you SecondMuse Capital for this collaboration, which is so critical in addressing the employment and Meaningful Work challenges facing young people today. 🤝 Kathleen Elsig Caroline Chernov Kayla Williams
We are excited to announce our collaboration with World YMCA and Generation Unlimited through the Learning to Earning (L2E) Future Economy Lab. Globally, a staggering one in five young people are not engaged in employment, education, or training. At the same time, 87% of employers face now or expect to face a skills gap. To address these urgent challenges we will explore the role of innovative finance in improving employment outcomes for young people. Our goal is to guide more underserved young people beyond skills training and into meaningful employment by increasing the flow of capital to initiatives achieving enduring benefits for youth. You can learn more by exploring our two pager (bit.ly/3W1Fu42), and get involved by reaching out to hello@secondmusecapital.com.

Thank you, Joyce, for spending time with us and sharing about the work of the YMCA of Singapore. 🙌
Leader of Global Youth Movement. Passionate about building the resilience of young people and communities
It is always a great pleasure to welcome our YMCA colleagues from around the world to our headquarters in Geneva. Today we welcomed Joyce Lu from YMCA of Singapore, who shared details about their programmes and initiatives. One that I found to be particularly impressive is YMCA Youth for Causes. It promotes social entrepreneurship and community leadership development among young people and provides funding, training and mentorship. It’s a joy to see how young people are leading change in their communities.
