The new global #immunization coverage data 📊 is out: 🔸 Vaccine coverage stagnated in 2023 🔸 2.7 million more children were left without life-saving vaccines compared to 2019 🔸 Low vaccine coverage is already driving measles outbreaks Over the last 5 years, #measles outbreaks hit 103 countries. Low vaccine coverage (80% or less) was a major factor. In contrast, 91 countries with strong measles vaccine coverage did not experience outbreaks. It's not all bad news: In 2023, 27% of adolescent girls globally received at least 1 dose of the HPV vaccine, which provides protection against #CervicalCancer. That's a 7% increase since 2022. An important step towards a world free of cervical cancer. More vaccination trends ⬇️ https://bit.ly/3LpE7HA
