This week, we celebrated the grand opening of Lloydminster's new mechanical wastewater treatment facility. Through a four-way funding agreement between the governments of Canada, Saskatchewan and Alberta, along with the City of Lloydminster, the $81.5 million facility was constructed using the integrated project delivery (IPD) model. Believed to never have been used on any water/wastewater infrastructure project of this magnitude at the time, we're proud to say the facility was completed on time and on budget. We're grateful to Infrastructure Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan and the Government of Alberta for helping fund this project. Thank you to everyone involved in the construction of the wastewater treatment facility. Because of your expertise, we've built infrastructure that will have significant social and environmental benefits, not just for the present and future generations of Lloydminster but also for the downstream cities, towns, villages and Indigenous communities that rely on the North Saskatchewan River for drinking water and recreation.
