Lately, John Cockerill Hamon successfully implemented a #WasteToEnergy project in Dubai. With this first achievement, our teams won a contract for another waste-to-energy project in Abu Dhabi. The order includes the supply of a 14-cell Hamon®air-cooled condenser, which will contribute to: - converting waste into green electricity - processing non-recyclable waste for the next 30 years - significantly reducing reliance on landfill - supporting the UAE's goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions This project reinforces our position in the #UAE's Waste-to-Energy sector. The John Cockerill Group has announced the recent integration of Arquus. A visit by thirty Arquus employees to John Cockerill's Seraing headquarters marked this transition, providing a platform to highlight our foundation's initiatives. In addition, a visit to the Garchizy site in France highlighted Arquus' rich heritage. John Cockerill and Baosteel Group Co. launch Phase II Acid Regeneration Project to Boost Sustainability and Efficiency: https://lnkd.in/ernepCjG John Cockerill has been selected again to partner with Baosteel Group Co. for the "2*20m³/h Fluidized Bed Acid Regeneration" project, following our success with the world's largest Acid Regeneration Plant in China. This Phase II initiative aims to conserve #energy, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact while managing newly generated waste #acid. The project will recycle acid for various #pickling units and recover valuable iron oxide by-products. On July 2, 2024, we officially kicked off the project in Shanghai. With advanced fluidized bed technology and innovative energy-saving solutions, our Group is committed to sustainable industrial practices and environmental stewardship. John Cockerill announces today the conclusion of the acquisition process of Arquus, the main French supplier of military vehicles, which began last January with the Volvo Group. The conclusion of the operation comes as #France and #Belgium recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support and oversee this alliance, with both states each entering at 10% in the capital of John Cockerill Defense. Indonesia to discover John Cockerill's green hydrogen expertise! Our Group has welcomed Indonesian officials to our HQ and hydrogen facilities. The delegation included senior representatives from Indonesia's key ministries. This visit, part of the “Energy Diplomacy Study Tours,” aligns with the European Green Deal. Why #Indonesia's interest? Set to be the fourth largest economy by 2045, Indonesia is a major coal producer. The country aims for net zero emissions by 2060, with green hydrogen playing a key role from 2030. One delegate noted: “the John Cockerill site visit was the highlight of our week.” So, thank you to our visitors and hats off to our teams for showcasing our progress. The aim: to treat gases from the silicon wafer production process, for a total flow rate of 200,000 m3/h. Our teams have in-depth knowledge of this demanding market, where support and rapid execution are essential. A dedicated project team was set up to ensure the success of the project, and to meet the customer's expectations within a tight timeframe.
