Two great panels this AM at the Salinas Biologicals Summit. Grower Stuart Woolf with Julie Henderson California Department of Pesticide Regulation and Christine Birdsomg of FOOD & AGRICULTURE, CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF emphasizing the need for grower education on #biologicals and Terry Stone moderating Jennifer Lewis IBMA - International Biocontrol Manufacturers Association and regulators from US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Canada’s PMRA and Brazil. There is a bottleneck due to high number of new active ingredients and reduction in funding for the EPA’s Biopesticides Pollution Prevention Division. Brazil continues to speed things through. Unlike EPA, Canada has not figured out how to do RNAi yet.
